Welcome to Glencoe Township MN. This site provides useful information for residents and visitors alike. We are proud of the welcoming environment and friendly community we have created. Meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 7:30pm.

March 21st 2024

 

The Glencoe Town Board met on Thursday March 21st at 7:30pm at the town hall. All board members were present.

 

The minutes of the February 8th meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was then read and approved.

 

There were 3 receipts:

                1206     Midco                                   Franchise Fee                  $9.80

                1207     McLeod County               Town Road Aid                 $18,860.54

                1208     Midco                                   Franchise Fee                  $10.14

 

There were 3 bills:

                2783     McLeod County Association of Townships        2024 Dues          $120.28

                2784     Dakota Robinson Trucking                               Snowplow 2/15         $1,600.00

                2485     City of Glencoe                                     Pumper Truck Payment        $61,575.11

 

Joe from B&H Aggregate and Greg Brinkman were in attendance to get a permit to mine on Greg’s property. Joe stated that roads will be maintained, and that dust control will be used. A motion was made, seconded, and carried upon call to approve the CUP.

 

WM Mueller & Sons gravel quote up $.34 cents from last year bringing it to $15.57. A motion was made, seconded, and carried upon call to accept the 2024 quote.

 

Scott Exsted was in attendance for a tile project and verbal approval was given by the board to put drain tile in the cartway.

 

2024 pay rates have been increased, see 2024 Pay Rates Page, (front of binder). A motion was made, seconded, and carried upon call to approve the 2024 pay rates.

 

A motion was made, seconded, and carried upon call for Bruce Bargmann to remain as Chairman of the Glencoe Town Board.

 

There being no further business a motion was made, seconded, and carried upon call to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8:25pm.
